Our smallholding is home to a small flock of Pedigree Shetland Sheep.  This primitive breed was an ideal choice for hillside living as they are used to the harsh living of the Scottish isle from which they originate.

As a smaller breed, they are easier to handle and are a perfect choice for a smallholder. Shetland Sheep are bred for the excellent wool they produce but they also can provide quality meat.  They come in all colours of fleece, which make them interesting to watch in the fields and is why they are of interest to handspinners and crafters.  Ours are trained to come to the bucket and like nothing more than a fuss and a bit of human company.

All of our sheep are registered with the Shetland Sheep Society and stock is available to purchase, please contact us for our availability or check out our farm produce page.
